Value and authentication
As with other antiques, the value of Orivit items varies considerably with their condition, beauty, rarity and the inclinations of the collector.
Find a general discussion of the value of antiques at the Antiques Roadshow.
Occasionally Orivit pieces may be seen that are evidently unmarked (or through having been polished over
the years have lost a legible mark). In general, however, great caution should be exercised when buying items
attributed to Orivit without appropriate documentation as there are occasionally unmarked, falsely attributed items on Ebay.

Sending payment online.
I have found that sending and receiving money online is much easier when both the buyer and seller use Paypal. This is especially true with international
transactions where buyers can find arranging for wire transfers or international bank checks frustrating.
If you haven't done so already I strongly suggest signing up for Paypal.
Contact
I would be thrilled to correspond with others interested in Orivit and/or other art nouveau and jugendstil firms.
Although I had previously attempted to set up a discussion group on Yahoo the volume of irrelevant information
from online sales campaigns as well as the cumbersome mechanism for maintaining Yahoo groups proved too burdensome.
I will try again but in the meantime please feel free to introduce yourself by emailing:
I would especially appreciate receiving photos of your own Orivit items to include in the Products list. I am also very interested
in finding original copies of the Orivit catalogues.
